    Here are some of my favorite Apps for Kids

    Letter Recognition Apps

    ABC Clouds: Allows students to associate letters with pictures and trace individual letters in both upper and lower case.

    Alphabet Find: Students listen to the alphabet/number/ shape and find it in the grid of images.  This app helps to develop auditory, visual and fine motor skills.

    Endless Alphabet: Kids will havea blast learning their ABC’s and building vocabulary with the adorable monsters in Endless Alphabet. 

    Phonics/Rhyming Apps

    ABC Phonics: make a word - short vowels: Features phonics, spelling, letter sound, short vowels, word families and much more!

    ABC Phonics rocks: Introduces the phonetic sound of each letter when building the word.

    ABC Phonics Rhyming Words Lite: By matching rhyming words, this game helps children recognize common word patterns, and understand how the initial consonant, middle vowel, and ending consonant affect pronunciation. They will distinguish between long and short vowel sounds, and they will learn to pronounce consonant combinations, such as “ch” and “sh”.

    Sight words/Spelling Apps

    BT Sightwords free: Students are able to see, listen to and interact with the words.

    Little Stars-Word Wizard: A great game to help students discover and learn spelling.

    Spelling Words Card matching game: Fun way to learn sight words

    Math 

    Counting 123: A way to play and quickly learn how to count and recognize numberswith 4 mini games.

    Count Sort: A basicgame for students to learn about numbers. This app helps to develop early numeral recognition and earlyrecognition of number “families.”

    Domino Easy Match: Focuses on concept of number, identification of numbers 1-9, identification of simple arrays, rote counting and one-to-one correspondence

    Kids Tell Time: A talking app that helps students learn to tell time using both digital and analog clock faces

    Kindergarten Math: Practice drills in addition, subtraction and comparison

    Ladybug Math: Teaches simple concepts in numbers,shapes, basic arithmetic, comparison, and sequencing to young minds.  Students can learn fine motor skills, conceptof number, shapes, basic arithmetic, comparison, sequence and a coloring rewardgame to encourage the kids to play and learn more.

    Line ‘em Up: This app promotes mastery of number order.  Students can place number tiles1-100, in order from least to greatest.

    Sum Stackers: a mathematical puzzle that allows users to play with different representations of numbers, while developing their number sense to create strategies to help them solve addition and subtraction problems

    10 Frame fill: Provides students with recognizing additive “10 Families” (e.g., 1 and9, 2 and 8, etc.)

    Sentence Apps

    Sentence Maker: Helps students learn to make and complete their own sentences all with just the touch of their finger.

    Sentence Builder Free: Students learn about words, sentences, pronunciation, grammar, and punctuation
